For most of my life (and sometimes still now!) I needed to know all the answers behind everything. On my journey back home to the Catholic Church, by the grace of God, I knelt down and said to God, "ok, if You are leading me, I will go completely on faith eventhough I don't understand." God is so awesome in His grace because I know it surely wasn't my doing to give up control/wanting to be in the know.
So, one of the first daily Masses I attended began with the devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. I didn't know what it was about, and it felt strange to be listening. At the same time, the prayers seemed so right and comforting.
Following that, Jesus just continued to open the doors to His Blessed Mother through homilies of priests, and the rosary (my mom was praying for me-little did I know) I developed a hunger for the Eucharist and a desire to find out more about Medjugorji.
As a new mother, I really needed more guidance and Mary was the perfect example.
There is absolutely nothing I did except step out in faith, which I know God allowed me to do, by His grace.
In a world where we want to know the answers or believe we are entitled to them all the time, the best and most humble thing we can do is just cry out to God like a little child. He will answer us always and lead us through Mary to His beloved Son.
"O God, you are my God-- for you I long! For you my body yearns; for you my soul thirsts, Like a land parched, lifeless, and without water.
So I look to you in the sanctuary to see your power and glory.
For your love is better than life; my lips offer you worship!
I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands, calling on your name.
My soul shall savor the rich banquet of praise, with joyous lips my mouth shall honor you!" Psalm 63

Thank you, Father John for sharing His wisdom with us. You and all priests are in our daily prayers of gratitude.green mom for Jesushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12131406943244534735noreply@blogger.com
